South Africa Beat Australia


Proteas have defeated Australia by 3 wickets in an enthralling contest in the first ODI held at MCG today. The match contained all the elements which a One Day game boasts off.

Australia batting first made 271-8 in their allotted quota of 50 overs. Shaun Marsh Top scored for them with a blistering 79.David Hussey also played a crucial role in the Australian total with his rapid 52 off 50 balls.

In reply to Australia, South Africa were in a little bit of trouble wickets of Hershelle Gibbs and Hashim Amla. But their inning gained momentum and solidity because of the partnership between Neil McKenzie and JP Duminy. Both scored fifties with Duminy being the dominant partner. Their innings fluttered again with around 50 more runs to get after they lost both McKenzie and Duminy in short span of time. But a blistering knock of 40 from 18 balls from Albie Morkel took them home with 2 balls to spare.

In the end, Albie Morkel was named the Man Of the Match for his blistering knock which took the Proteas home.

According to the reports, Manchester City have made a mind boggling bid for AC Milan’s tar playmaker and former FIFA Player of the year winner Kaka. City’s interest was known to everyone as they have been chasing Kaka from the summer. They were considered to be offering around £ 100 m .


AC Milan were adamant in their wish to keep Kaka at AC Milan but everything has changed at Milan after City’s huge record breaking bid yesterday. Milan are now considering City’s offered seriously and have also allowed Kaka to talk and agree on terms with City.

As reported, Kaka has told them a few terms which would decide the span of his stay at City. Some of which include not Selling Robinho, qualifying for the champions league in 2 years, Sheikh Mansoor to be the chairman and continuous investment in the players for making the team better on all fronts.

All the terms have just proved that Kaka does not want to be in a club which is fighting for Relegation. This has just cleared the fact that A deal will be struck in some days and Kaka will be a City player .This Deal will the highest amount paid by a club for a player.
