Federer wins AAMI Classic
Federer warmed up for the Australian open , winning the AAMI classic final by thrashing his fellow countrymen Stanislas Wawrinka 6-2 6-3.Federer was at his devastatig best and it took him just 57 minutes to end the resistance of his opponent.
Wawrinka looked to be nervous and overawed by the occasion ins front of a sellout crowd.
Federer was able to break jis serve three times in the firste set before taking it 6-2 after 27 minutes.
It was mroa of a same story in the second set as Fedex looked in sublime form hitting forehands and winners a will and eventually getting the set 6-3 and the match after just 57 minutes.
After the match Federer said "It was a wonderful preparation for all the players for the Australian Open.I don't want to get too excited about it - but I think I played a really great match today against Stan".
Chelsea beat Stoke City

In the beginning game looked to be dull one with none of the two sides capitalised on their possession.During first 35 minutes there were no chances wither side of the pitch.After that the match gained momentum with Man United getting close on some occasions and Bolton also getting some half chances.All through the first half United were unable to convert their possession into goals.

Sri Lanka Beat Bangladesh
Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh in tense finish here in the final of the Tri Nations Cup in Mirpur.Bangladesh were skittled for a mere 152 after 48.4 overs with Raqibul Hasan 43 being the highest scorer .The chased looked to be a very easy one seeing the batting line up of the Wri Lankans but it turned out exactly the opposite with Sir Lanka being in trouble in the beginning of theeir chase with score reading 4 for 3. It became more worse when Sri Lanka losts the wickets of Chamara Kapugedra and Thilan Tushara with the score reading 6 for 5.
Kumara Sangakara then steadied the ship scoring a gritty 59.Which was in the end helped by Farvez Maharoof and Muttiah Muralidharan who scored 38 and 33 respectively.Muralidharan was the star of the show in the end scoring 33 of just 18 balls leading Sri Lanka to a 2 wicket win.

Chasing an almost impossible target of 525 ,UP innings started the most unwanted way when they lost both their openers cheaply and then lost Suresh Raina after a short time. Then Mohammed Kaif and Bhuvamesh Kumar steadied the ship for some time but when Kaif got out UP lost their way and lost the wickets of Kaif, Piyush Chawla and Praveen Kumar in a Hurry.After the loss of Praveen Kumar it just became a mere formality before Mumbai became Ranji Champions for the 38th time.
After that UP wicketkeeper Amir Khan and Praveen Gupta tried to make a late fightback with a partnership of 55 with Praveen Gupta and Amir Khan scoring 25 and 43 respectively. But UP bundled out for 281 handling Mumbai their 38th title

In reply to Australia, South Africa were in a little bit of trouble wickets of Hershelle Gibbs and Hashim Amla. But their inning gained momentum and solidity because of the partnership between Neil McKenzie and JP Duminy. Both scored fifties with Duminy being the dominant partner. Their innings fluttered again with around 50 more runs to get after they lost both McKenzie and Duminy in short span of time. But a blistering knock of 40 from 18 balls from Albie Morkel took them home with 2 balls to spare.
In the end, Albie Morkel was named the Man Of the Match for his blistering knock which took the Proteas home.

Transfer News : Kaka off to City
According to the reports, Manchester City have made a mind boggling bid for AC Milan’s tar playmaker and former FIFA Player of the year winner Kaka. City’s interest was known to everyone as they have been chasing Kaka from the summer. They were considered to be offering around £ 100 m .
AC Milan were adamant in their wish to keep Kaka at AC Milan but everything has changed at Milan after City’s huge record breaking bid yesterday. Milan are now considering City’s offered seriously and have also allowed Kaka to talk and agree on terms with City.
As reported, Kaka has told them a few terms which would decide the span of his stay at City. Some of which include not Selling Robinho, qualifying for the champions league in 2 years, Sheikh Mansoor to be the chairman and continuous investment in the players for making the team better on all fronts.
All the terms have just proved that Kaka does not want to be in a club which is fighting for Relegation. This has just cleared the fact that A deal will be struck in some days and Kaka will be a City player .This Deal will the highest amount paid by a club for a player.
This deal will make Kaka earn £ 13.28 m a year and £255,000 a week.
